It’s Berry Time

Chris Perry shows us the root system of his Raspberry plants (variety Autumn Bliss). The new white shoots will become the green leafy stems that grow around 1 m long during the next spring and summer. The stems will flower in summer and fruit from March to July with delicious raspberries.😋 After the fruit has been picked and eaten or made into jam, the stems can be pruned or mown off in readiness for a new set of shoots the following spring.
